Hyperthyroid

...That's what Misty (almost 13-year-old, male cat) got diagnosed on 17th December in 2019.
When we were leaving Doha (May 2017), Misty weighed 5.5 kg. He has never lost his good appetite, but hurls a lot, I noticed he has lost some weight. So I took him to the vet, the blood test result showed he has got Hyperthyroidism. His weight was 4.9 kg on that day. He got two different types of medicine.
I'm sure Misty is not the first cat who hates medication, but...he and I really struggle with it. His life depends on it, I can't fail.

The medicine
The little tablet is for his thyroid control, twice a day. The sachet of probiotic which promotes a healthy immune system, mix into his food. He used to treasure any wet food, now he feels the can food tastes not so good like before...So he started avoiding to eat any wet food. I've fixed this problem by not sprinkling the probiotic powder in his food and adding some catnip. I decided Misty's eating food is much more important than not eating at all because of the medicine.
Misty used to love 'Squeeze-up'...So putting the little tablet in it had been a good idea for a while.

...Now he knows the little bugger is in it, so he refuses to have Squeeze-up, either.

A month later Misty had the follow-up. His weight was 4.2 kg. The blood test showed his liver had some problems. The vet prescribed more medicine...
One is for his liver and the other one (smaller one) is antibiotics which he has to take every 12 hours.
Because I can't use 'Squeeze-up' to fool Misty anymore, I have to use this way. Four times a day!

(This is not Misty.)
The worst part of this medication is that I can feel Misty is still losing some more weight.

He is very good at spitting out the tablet stealthily even 5 minutes passed after being forced to swallow it. I have to check all the places Misty's being about, make sure he really swallowed it. Usually I find it on the floor, unusual places are quite laughable...on his chest, on the wall, on the glass of the window and Mew's (my other cat) back.
